Botekt carried out a complete roof renovation for the HEMA store in the center of Zeist. The existing bitumen roofing was showing signs of aging and incipient damage, which could eventually cause leaks and insulation problems. In close consultation with the client, we opted for a sustainable replacement of the entire roof surface.
Work performed
Pre-inspection and Advice:
Before starting the work, our specialists conducted a comprehensive inspection. We mapped the condition of the existing bitumen layer, assessed the underlying structure, and recommended the most suitable materials for long-term protection.
Removing old roof covering:
The worn bitumen layer was completely removed and the roof surface was carefully cleaned and prepared for the new construction.
Applying new bitumen roof covering:
We applied a high-quality, two-layer bitumen roofing, known for its excellent waterproofing and long lifespan. All details, such as roof penetrations and upstands, were meticulously finished to prevent future leaks.
Finishing and inspection:
After completion of the work, the roof was checked for water tightness, connection to rainwater drains and the quality of the finish.
Result
The HEMA store now has a completely renovated and durable roof that will provide years of weather protection. Thanks to our efficient execution, the project was completed within the set timeframe without disrupting store operations.
